Description

Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles (oven-ready)
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 15 ounces whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 25 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, finishing with meat sauce and cheeses.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
  8. Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
