Description

Irresistible homemade rolls with a buttery garlic flavor, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg, for egg wash

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture along with melted butter. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into approximately 12 small equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.
  7. In a small saucepan, melt the remaining butter and add minced garlic and parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the rolls.
  8. Allow the rolls to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  9. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes
