Description

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced) or 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley or 1 tsp dried
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and Parmesan cheese (if using). Stir until smooth.
  3. Slice the loaf in half lengthwise or into thick slices.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. For a crispier top, broil for 1 to 2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  7. Remove from the oven, slice into pieces, and serve warm.
