Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (or chicken, shrimp, or vegetables)
- 1 cup finely shredded cabbage
- ½ cup shredded carrots
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 10–12 egg roll wrappers
- Water (for sealing)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef (or chicken, shrimp, etc.) to the skillet, breaking it apart, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the finely shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, and chopped green onions, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
- Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and pepper. Stir and remove from heat; cool to room temperature.
- Take one egg roll wrapper and lay it on a flat surface with one corner pointing towards you. Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the cooled filling into the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, followed by the two side corners, then roll tightly and seal with water.
- In a large pot, heat about 2 inches of oil over medium-high heat. Fry the egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the egg rolls from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
