Description

A vibrant and refreshing hibiscus drink, perfect for summer days and family gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups water
  • 10 dried hibiscus flowers
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Ice cubes (for serving)
  • Fresh mint or basil (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a gentle boil in a medium-sized pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the hibiscus flowers to the boiling water.
  3. Stir in the sugar gently until dissolved.
  4. Simmer the mixture on low heat for 30 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea into a pitcher and discard the flowers.
  6. Cool the tea to room temperature and chill in the refrigerator.
  7. Serve the drink over ice and garnish with mint or basil leaves.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Can be made a day in advance for parties.
