Description

A succulent roasted turkey breast infused with herb butter, perfect for family gatherings and holidays.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole or half bone-in turkey breast (or boneless)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 ½ teaspoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon fresh sage, chopped

Instructions

  1. If frozen, thaw the turkey breast in the refrigerator for 24 hours for every 5 pounds. Remove from the fridge 20 minutes before cooking.
  2. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  3. In a bowl, combine softened butter, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and sage until smooth.
  4. Pat the turkey breast dry and season with salt and pepper. Gently loosen the skin and spread herb butter underneath.
  5. Rub remaining herb butter over the outside of the turkey.
  6. Place in a roasting pan and roast for about 14–15 minutes per pound, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 15 minutes before carving.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for perfect results. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
