Description

A comforting and flavorful breakfast casserole featuring crispy hashbrowns, melted cheese, and tender eggs, perfect for family gatherings and holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen hashbrowns (about 30 ounces)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced ham or cooked sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the hashbrowns, cheese, and diced meat until evenly distributed.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder until frothy.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the hashbrown mixture and gently stir to coat.
  5. Transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and press down lightly.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days and reheated in the oven for best texture. This casserole can be assembled the night before for convenience.
