Description

A heartwarming and cheesy casserole made with ground beef, green beans, and layers of creamy goodness.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cups green beans (cooked, fresh or canned)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic for 5-7 minutes, then drain excess grease and stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until smooth.
  3. In a greased 9×13” baking dish, layer the cooked beef mixture, green beans, soup mixture, and cheeses.
  4. Top with crispy fried onions.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  6. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, let butter and sour cream come to room temperature. Use thawed frozen green beans for minimal moisture.
