Description

A comforting casserole featuring ground beef, green beans, and creamy mushrooms that is effortless to prepare and full of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until fully browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes until onion is translucent and mushrooms are tender.
  4. Mix in cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Combine well.
  5. Fold in drained green beans until coated in the creamy mixture.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Allow to rest a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Great for meal prep.
