A delightful mix of tropical guava and creamy goodness wrapped in flaky puff pastry.
Ingredients

- 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 cup guava paste (cut into small pieces)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened at room temperature)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash – optional)
- Flour (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
- Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles approximately 4 inches x 4 inches.
- Place a small piece of guava paste and a spoonful of cream cheese in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and seal the edges by pressing them together.
- Brush the tops with an egg wash to add sheen if desired.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing a pinch of cinnamon into the cream cheese, or substitute guava with other fruit preserves.
