- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Olive oil, for cooking
Instructions
- In a large skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil and heat over medium-high.
- Add sliced onions and bell peppers; sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender.
- Push vegetables to the side, add ground beef, break apart, and cook for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
- Stir in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Lower heat, place a slice of cheese over the mixture, cover, and let it melt for 2-3 minutes.
- Slice hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
- Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture into each roll.
- Optionally, toast the rolls before serving.
