Description

A hearty, comforting chili made with ground beef and rich spices, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toppings: Shredded cheese, sour cream, and sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat a splash of oil over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until well-browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juice), beef broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  4. Raise the heat to high and bring the mixture to a soft boil.
  5. Lower the heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Ladle the chili into bowls and serve with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
