Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • Green food coloring
  • Red sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder until well mixed. Set aside.
  3. Cream together the melted butter and white sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until fully combined.
  5. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
  6. Add green food coloring until desired shade is reached.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Sprinkle red sprinkles on top of each cookie.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let the cookies cool on wire racks for 5-10 minutes before enjoying.

Ensure melted butter is cooled slightly before mixing to avoid cooking the egg. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
