Description

A delightful Italian appetizer featuring grilled bread topped with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and basil, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Baguette
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 200 g Cherry Tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Basil Leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Slice the baguette diagonally into ½-inch thick slices.
  3. Create the garlic-oil mixture by whisking garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl.
  4. Brush both sides of bread slices with half of the garlic-oil mixture.
  5. Grill the bread slices for 1-2 minutes per side until golden.
  6. Prepare the topping by halving cherry tomatoes and mixing them with the remaining garlic-oil mixture and basil.
  7. Rub grilled bread slices with a fresh garlic clove for extra flavor.
  8. Assemble each slice of bread with the tomato and basil mixture.
  9. Serve the bruschetta warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Leftover toppings can last up to 2 days in the fridge.
