- 8 oz halloumi cheese, sliced into ½-inch thick pieces
- 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 4 fresh basil leaves
- 4 slices crusty ciabatta or sourdough bread
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the Grill: Set your grill to medium heat (about 400°F/200°C) or heat a grill pan.
- Prepare the Bread: Brush both sides of the ciabatta or sourdough bread lightly with olive oil.
- Grill the Halloumi: Add the halloumi slices to the grill. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Assemble the Sandwich: Layer the grilled halloumi, sliced tomatoes, and basil leaves between two pieces of bread.
- Grill the Assembled Sandwich: Place the sandwich back on the grill for another minute per side until heated through and crispy.
