Description

Delicious glazed pork chops marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce for a tender, flavorful dish.


Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp gochujang
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 4 pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, gochujang, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
  4. Place the pork chops in the marinade, turning to coat thoroughly. Set aside for about 20 minutes.
  5. In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes until golden-brown on one side.
  6. Flip the chops, pour in the reserved marinade, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 5-10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. Remove the skillet from the oven, season with fresh black pepper, and let the chops rest briefly before serving.

Notes

Use a cast-iron skillet for optimal searing. Marinating the pork chops in advance enhances flavor.
