Description

These Gingerbread Rice Krispie Treats are a delightful twist on a classic, infused with the warm spices of gingerbread, making them perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and molasses until well combined.
  4. Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal and a pinch of salt; stir until coated.
  5. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch pan and press the mixture evenly into it.
  6. Cool completely for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

To prevent sticking, use a spatula or damp hands when pressing the mixture into the pan.
