Description

A festive twist on the classic Rice Krispie treats, infused with warm spices like ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows or 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat until creamy.
  2. Add marshmallows to the melted butter, stirring until fully melted.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Gently fold in Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch pan and press down evenly.
  6. Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider browning the butter before adding the marshmallows. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
