Juicy, garlic butter steak bites served over a bed of creamy homemade Alfredo pasta – a restaurant-quality meal that comes together in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients
1.5 lbs Sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
4 tbsp Butter, divided
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp Smoked paprika
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Olive oil
1 lb Pasta twists (rotini or fusilli)
3 cups Heavy cream
1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup Milk (if needed, to thin the sauce)
Instructions
- Cook pasta al dente according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- Make Alfredo: Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in cream and simmer 5 minutes. Gradually whisk in Parmesan until smooth. Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper. Toss with cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
- Cook Steak: Pat steak dry and season with salt, pepper and paprika. Heat oil in large skillet over high heat. Sear steak in batches 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic. Baste steaks with melted butter 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in parsley.
- Serve steak bites over Alfredo pasta, drizzled with pan juices.
Notes
- For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan (not pre-shredded)
- Add 1/2 cup pasta water to Alfredo sauce if too thick
- Substitute chicken or shrimp for steak if preferred
- Leftovers reheat well with splash of milk to refresh sauce
