Description

Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette (or Italian bread loaf)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and place on the baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end (watch carefully).
  8. Remove from oven, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use fresh garlic instead of garlic powder.
  • Add a sprinkle of mozzarella for cheesy garlic bread.
