Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and let it sit for a few minutes.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, remaining sugar, and optional cinnamon in another bowl.
- Stir in the milk and melted butter until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spoon the peach mixture over the batter (do not stir).
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Enjoy warm, optionally topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
