Ingredients

- 4 large ripe heirloom or vine-ripened tomatoes, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced or pressed
- ½ cup fresh basil, roughly chopped
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional add-ins: feta cheese, diced avocado, or black olives
Instructions
- Slice the tomatoes into quarters or dice them into bite-sized pieces and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
- Add the minced garlic and chopped basil to the bowl with tomatoes and stir gently to combine.
- Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Let the salad sit for about 15 minutes to allow the tomatoes to release their juices.

Allow ingredients to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before mixing for enhanced flavor.
