Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, sift together cake flour, 3/4 cup of sugar, and salt. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy.
- Add cream of tartar and beat until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add the remaining sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the flour mixture and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Invert the pan and cool completely before removing.
- Serve with fresh berries and whipped cream.
