Description

A velvety peanut butter fudge swirled with marshmallow creme, creating the iconic flavor combination of a fluffernutter sandwich in rich, melt-in-your-mouth squares. This no-bake treat is perfect for peanut butter lovers and makes a great edible gift.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 cups granulated sugar – Use good quality sugar for the best texture.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature) – I love using a high-quality brand, like Kerrygold, for that rich flavor.
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk – This adds creaminess. Make sure it’s unsweetened.
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter – I recommend Jif or Skippy for consistency and flavor.
  • 7 oz jar marshmallow creme – Go for the original brand; it really makes a difference!
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract – Pure vanilla extract elevates the fudge; it’s worth it!

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang.
  2. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt peanut butter and butter together until smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in vanilla and salt. Gradually mix in powdered sugar until fully incorporated (mixture will be thick).
  4. Transfer half the mixture to prepared pan, spreading evenly.
  5. Warm marshmallow creme 10 seconds in microwave to make spreadable. Dollop over peanut butter layer.
  6. Top with remaining peanut butter mixture. Use a knife to swirl layers together.
  7. If using, sprinkle chopped peanuts or chocolate chips over top and gently press in.
  8. Chill 2 hours until firm. Lift from pan using parchment and cut into squares.

Notes

  • For cleaner cuts: Use hot knife wiped between slices
  • Storage: Keep refrigerated up to 2 weeks or freeze 3 months
  • Crunchy variation: Use chunky peanut butter
  • For gifts: Layer between wax paper in decorative tins
