- 2/3 cup evaporated milk – This adds creaminess. Make sure it’s unsweetened.
- 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter – I recommend Jif or Skippy for consistency and flavor.
- 7 oz jar marshmallow creme – Go for the original brand; it really makes a difference!
- 1 tsp vanilla extract – Pure vanilla extract elevates the fudge; it’s worth it!
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang.
- In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt peanut butter and butter together until smooth. Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla and salt. Gradually mix in powdered sugar until fully incorporated (mixture will be thick).
- Transfer half the mixture to prepared pan, spreading evenly.
- Warm marshmallow creme 10 seconds in microwave to make spreadable. Dollop over peanut butter layer.
- Top with remaining peanut butter mixture. Use a knife to swirl layers together.
- If using, sprinkle chopped peanuts or chocolate chips over top and gently press in.
- Chill 2 hours until firm. Lift from pan using parchment and cut into squares.
