- 2 Flatbreads or Naan Breads
- 1 cup Tomato Sauce
- 2 cups Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1–2 Ripe Tomatoes, thinly sliced
- Fresh Basil Leaves
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1–2 Cloves Garlic, minced
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Optional: Red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic to make garlic oil.
- Brush the flatbreads with garlic oil using a pastry brush.
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over each flatbread, leaving a slight border for the crust.
- Place fresh mozzarella slices evenly over the sauce, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Layer thin slices of ripe tomatoes over the cheese.
- Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the flatbread is crispy.
- Scatter fresh basil leaves on top right after coming out of the oven.
- Drizzle with additional olive oil, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
Let flatbreads come to room temperature for even cooking, and avoid overloading with toppings to maintain crispiness.
