Ingredients

  • 2 Flatbreads or Naan Breads
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 2 cups Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 12 Ripe Tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 12 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic to make garlic oil.
  3. Brush the flatbreads with garlic oil using a pastry brush.
  4. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over each flatbread, leaving a slight border for the crust.
  5. Place fresh mozzarella slices evenly over the sauce, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Layer thin slices of ripe tomatoes over the cheese.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the flatbread is crispy.
  9. Scatter fresh basil leaves on top right after coming out of the oven.
  10. Drizzle with additional olive oil, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

Let flatbreads come to room temperature for even cooking, and avoid overloading with toppings to maintain crispiness.
