- 1 lb shrimp, deveined and peeled
- 4 small flour or corn tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cabbage (green or purple)
- 1 large carrot, grated
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/2 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, freshly cracked, to taste
- Your favorite toppings (avocado, salsa, jalapeños, pickled onions)
Instructions
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the shrimp, and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque.
- In a bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and chopped cilantro for the slaw. Toss gently.
- Mix sour cream, lime juice, and a pinch of salt in another bowl to make the crema.
- Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave until pliable.
- Assemble tacos by placing shrimp and slaw in warm tortillas, drizzling with crema, and adding any extra toppings.
- Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
For the best results, thaw frozen shrimp and pat dry. Serve with cilantro-lime rice or tortilla chips for a complete meal.
