A comforting classic pasta dish filled with creamy ricotta and mozzarella, drizzled with marinara sauce.

- Manicotti pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, diced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the manicotti shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, fresh mozzarella, grated Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
- Stuff each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed manicotti on top of the sauce.
- Pour remaining marinara sauce over the manicotti.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
Make sure your ricotta is at room temperature for easier mixing. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
