- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- Green food coloring
- Red candy hearts or M&M’s
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Add green food coloring until you reach desired shade.
- Drop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Press a red candy heart or M&M into each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are slightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
