Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons grated orange zest
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons orange juice (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, orange juice, and orange zest until blended.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined. Fold in cranberries.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with orange juice for glaze and drizzle over cooled bread.
