Description
A delightful confection of crispy pecans, buttery caramel, and luscious chocolate, perfect for holiday gifting and indulgence.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 cup caramels (unwrapped)
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and toast for 7-10 minutes until fragrant.
- In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the unwrapped caramels and heavy cream. Stir constantly until melted and smooth, about 8-10 minutes.
- On a parchment-lined baking sheet, place groups of 3 pecans in the shape of a turtle shell. Spoon caramel onto each group, allowing it to drizzle down the sides.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth. Drizzle over the caramel-topped pecans and sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
- Allow the turtles to set at room temperature for about an hour until the chocolate is firm.
