Description

Delightful homemade pecan turtles made with crunchy pecans, rich caramel, and silky chocolate, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 6 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cups Chocolate (chopped or chips)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and toast pecans for 8-10 minutes until golden.
  2. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk over medium-low heat, stirring until bubbling and thickened (5-7 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter until blended.
  4. On a parchment-lined baking sheet, drop spoonfuls of caramel and press down, topping each with pecans.
  5. Let set at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  6. Melt chocolate and drizzle over each turtle.
  7. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
