- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef, and cook until browned. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Mix the cooked beef thoroughly with ricotta cheese until combined.
- Stuff the cooked pasta shells with the beef and ricotta mixture.
- Spread marinara sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed shells on top of the sauce.
- Pour the remaining sauce over the shells and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a creamier texture, use whole milk ricotta. Substitute with vegan alternatives for a plant-based version.
