Description

A comforting bowl of crispy tater crowns, fluffy scrambled eggs, and rich sausage gravy topped with melty cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 11 1/2 cups crispy crowns (tater rounds)
  • 1/23/4 cup scrambled eggs
  • 1/3 cup canned sausage gravy
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the crispy crowns in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  2. While the crowns are baking, crack eggs into a bowl and whisk lightly with salt and pepper. In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt a teaspoon of butter, then pour in the eggs and let sit for a few seconds before stirring gently. Cook for 3-4 minutes until just set but still fluffy.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the sausage gravy while stirring occasionally for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Once the crispy crowns are ready, take a bowl and create a base with them. Top with a generous serving of scrambled eggs, followed by the warm sausage gravy.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top while everything is still warm so it melts beautifully. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Enjoy immediately while hot and fresh!
