Description
A comforting bowl of crispy tater crowns, fluffy scrambled eggs, and rich sausage gravy topped with melty cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 – 1 1/2 cups crispy crowns (tater rounds)
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup scrambled eggs
- 1/3 cup canned sausage gravy
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the crispy crowns in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
- While the crowns are baking, crack eggs into a bowl and whisk lightly with salt and pepper. In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt a teaspoon of butter, then pour in the eggs and let sit for a few seconds before stirring gently. Cook for 3-4 minutes until just set but still fluffy.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the sausage gravy while stirring occasionally for 3-5 minutes.
- Once the crispy crowns are ready, take a bowl and create a base with them. Top with a generous serving of scrambled eggs, followed by the warm sausage gravy.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top while everything is still warm so it melts beautifully. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
- Enjoy immediately while hot and fresh!
