- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 count)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
- Optional Fillings: Cinnamon sugar, Chocolate chips, Jam, Nutella
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1/4 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg (for dough)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 to 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 additional egg and 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough onto a floured surface, keeping it in the original rectangular shape.
- Cut each triangle lengthwise to create two thinner triangles.
- Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the tip snugly.
- Shape small pieces of dough into loops for bunny ears and tuck them gently into the top of each roll.
- Arrange the rolls on the baking sheet with the pointed tips underneath.
- Whisk together the egg and water; brush over each roll.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- For homemade dough, stir yeast and warm water; let sit until foamy. Combine warm milk, sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt. Gradually add flour to form a soft dough.
- Knead on a floured surface, let rise until doubled, then shape as above.
