- 2–3 fresh jalapenos
- 1 cup coarse sea salt
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lime zest (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Slice the jalapenos in half and remove the seeds if you prefer less heat.
- Place the jalapeno halves on a baking sheet and dry them in the oven for about 120 minutes until fully dehydrated.
- Once cool, blend the dried jalapenos with the coarse sea salt in a food processor until well combined.
- Mix in garlic powder and lime zest if using for extra flavor.
- Store in an airtight container. Enjoy adding it to your favorite dishes or give it as a gift!
Notes
For the best flavor, choose firm, glossy jalapenos and consider using pastel sea salt for a more complex taste.
