- 150 g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- 300 g soft or silken tofu
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar or white sugar
- Flavorings of your choice (vanilla extract, almond extract, coffee, or orange zest)
- 1/8 tsp table salt
- For serving: Fresh fruit, crumbled cookies, cake cubes, nuts, or whipped coconut cream
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate by placing it in a heatproof mixing bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth (about 5-7 minutes).
- Blend the tofu, sugar, chosen flavorings, and salt in a food processor until silky smooth (about 2-3 minutes).
- Whisk the tofu mixture gradually into the melted chocolate until fully combined.
- Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness or flavorings as desired.
- Chill the mousse in serving dishes for at least 1-2 hours before serving.
- Serve with fresh fruit, crumbled cookies, or cake cubes, and enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter texture, incorporate air into the mousse by mixing well. This dessert is best enjoyed fresh or refrigerated for up to 3 days.
