Description

A soothing homemade dandelion salve, infused with memories and natural goodness, perfect for healing dry skin and minor cuts.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ounces dandelion flowers
  • Olive oil (enough to cover the flowers)
  • 1 tablespoon beeswax
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Harvest the dandelions.
  2. Clean the dandelions gently in cool water and dry them.
  3. Dry the flowers in a warm spot for about 24 hours.
  4. Infuse the oil by covering the dried flowers with olive oil in a jar.
  5. Seal the jar and place it in a warm, sunny location for 4 to 6 weeks.
  6. Strain the oil after infusion.
  7. Melt the beeswax and coconut oil over boiling water.
  8. Combine the melted beeswax and coconut oil with the dandelion-infused oil.
  9. Pour the mixture into small jars and store appropriately.

Notes

For a richer scent, experiment with adding essential oils. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before starting.
