Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (optional)
  • Lemon slices and cherry tomatoes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Sear the chicken in a skillet with olive oil and butter for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for about 1 minute.
  4. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, whisking until smooth.
  6. Combine the creamy sauce and chicken in the crockpot, adding lemon slices and cherry tomatoes if desired.
  7. Cook on LOW for 4-5 hours until the chicken is tender.
  8. Stir the sauce before serving and garnish with fresh parsley.
