- 6 ounces (170 grams) button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 (10.5-ounces/298 grams) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.5-ounces/298 grams) can French onion soup
- 1 cup (240 milliliters) beef broth
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
- Thoroughly dry the cube steaks with paper towels.
- Season the cube steaks with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Layer the seasoned steaks with sliced onions and mushrooms in the crock pot.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, French onion soup, beef broth, and tomato paste until smooth.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the layered steaks and vegetables.
- Set the crock pot to LOW and cook for 7-8 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours until fork-tender.
- In the final hour, make a slurry by whisking cornstarch with cold water and mix into the gravy.
- Serve the steak topped with the mushroom-onion gravy.

For extra flavor, sear the steaks in a skillet before adding to the crock pot. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
