Description

A comforting meal of tender chicken in a rich, creamy sauce served over angel hair pasta that brings family together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 10.5 oz Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 packet Good Seasons Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
  • 16 oz Angel Hair Pasta
  • Chopped Fresh Parsley, to taste
  • Cracked Pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Sear on both sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat and place in the crock pot.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, minced garlic, and dry Italian dressing mix. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Pour the creamy sauce over the seared chicken in the crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, cook angel hair pasta according to package instructions.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, shred it in the crock pot using two forks. Mix it with the sauce and serve over pasta. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, cracked pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. You can prepare the chicken and sauce the night before and refrigerate before cooking for convenience.
