A quick and delicious Crispy Chili Crunch Tofu that combines perfectly crispy tofu with a spicy, garlicky crunch, ideal for any weeknight dinner or to impress guests.

- 14 oz extra-firm tofu (drained)
- 2 tbsp chili crunch/crisp
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey (or agave syrup for a vegan option)
- 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp neutral oil (like sunflower oil)
- Sliced green onions (for serving)
- Sesame seeds (for serving)
Instructions
- Wrap the tofu in paper towels and place a heavy pan on top for 30 minutes to remove excess water.
- In a large bowl, combine chili crunch, sesame oil, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and salt; stir well and set aside.
- Pat the tofu dry and cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, toss tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat; add tofu cubes in a single layer and fry until golden brown on both sides (5-6 minutes per side).
- Pour the crispy tofu into the sauce bowl and toss to coat.
- Serve over rice, noodles, or greens, topped with green onions and sesame seeds.
