Crispy Baked Tofu Nuggets are a delicious plant-based alternative to traditional chicken nuggets, featuring a perfect crunch and delightful flavor.

- 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or gluten-free)
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup plant-based milk (almond, soy, or oat)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the plant-based milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, pour in the cornstarch.
- Dip each tofu cube in the cornstarch, shake off excess, then submerge in the wet mixture, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the tofu nuggets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
These nuggets can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
