Description

Crispy Baked Tofu Nuggets are a delicious plant-based alternative to traditional chicken nuggets, featuring a perfect crunch and delightful flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or gluten-free)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup plant-based milk (almond, soy, or oat)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the plant-based milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, pour in the cornstarch.
  4. Dip each tofu cube in the cornstarch, shake off excess, then submerge in the wet mixture, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Arrange the tofu nuggets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray lightly with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

These nuggets can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
