Description
Cute and flavorful Crescent Roll Carrots filled with cream cheese, sour cream, and herbs, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 count)
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh parsley or dill sprigs (for carrot tops)
- Orange food coloring (optional, for brushing the dough)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 tbsp finely chopped chives
- 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: diced red bell pepper or shredded carrots for color and crunch
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or silicone mat. Roll aluminum foil into cone shapes about 4 to 5 inches long, then spray them with nonstick cooking spray.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough, separate it into triangles, and cut each triangle lengthwise into two strips. Wrap one dough strip around each foil cone, overlapping as you go to create that lovely carrot shape. Brush with beaten egg or brushed orange food coloring.
- Bake the cones seam-side down for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before carefully removing the foil molds.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream/yogurt, cheddar (if using), chives, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Transfer the filling to a piping bag and fill each cooled crescent cone.
- Finish with fresh parsley or dill sprigs to resemble carrot greens! Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.
