Description

A comforting and delicious creamy chicken dish with white wine and mushrooms, perfect for family gatherings or romantic dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned and tender, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for one more minute.
  3. Pour in white wine, scraping up any bits stuck to the pan. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until reduced slightly.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s well-coated with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  6. Serve with a garnish of fresh parsley.

Notes

For best results, let chicken come to room temperature before cooking. You can make the chicken and sauce ahead of time and reheat before serving.
