Description

A cozy and comforting one-pan meal that combines tender pasta, savory sausage, and a rich creamy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sausage (Italian or breakfast)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup pasta (e.g., penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the sausage and cook, breaking it apart, until browned—about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic powder and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in pasta and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until pasta is al dente, around 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, spinach, and halved cherry tomatoes; cook until spinach wilts, about 3 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste; serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For customization, try adding different vegetables or swapping the sausage for ground turkey or chicken.
