- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a frying pan, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy (about 6-8 minutes). Let it cool slightly, then crumble it into smaller pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, almond flour, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Scoop about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball; place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until all mixture is used.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Allow the sausage balls to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These sausage balls freeze well. You can bake from frozen, just add 5-10 minutes to the baking time. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
