Savory sausage balls blended with cream cheese and crispy bacon, perfect for a keto-friendly snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a frying pan, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy (about 6-8 minutes). Let it cool slightly, then crumble it into smaller pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, almond flour, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  4. Scoop about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball; place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until all mixture is used.
  5. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Allow the sausage balls to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These sausage balls freeze well. You can bake from frozen, just add 5-10 minutes to the baking time. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
