Description

A comforting dish featuring tender pork chops smothered in a rich, garlicky cream sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 thick-cut pork chops
  • 4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and measure them in advance.
  2. Season both sides of each pork chop with salt and pepper; let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  5. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  6. Bring to a simmer; then add in heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  7. Return pork chops to the skillet, spoon sauce over and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Serve immediately, drizzling sauce over pork chops.

Notes

Ensure pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F. Adjust garlic level to taste, and consider adding fresh herbs or mushrooms for variation.
