Description
A comforting dish featuring tender pork chops smothered in a rich, garlicky cream sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 thick-cut pork chops
- 4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and measure them in advance.
- Season both sides of each pork chop with salt and pepper; let sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- Bring to a simmer; then add in heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Return pork chops to the skillet, spoon sauce over and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve immediately, drizzling sauce over pork chops.
Notes
Ensure pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F. Adjust garlic level to taste, and consider adding fresh herbs or mushrooms for variation.
