Description

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 4 strips of thick-cut bacon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, add the pork chops and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
  3. Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes or until softened.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream, cooking until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked bacon back into the skillet, stirring to combine.
  8. Return the pork chops to the pan, making sure to coat them thoroughly in the sauce.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

Let pork chops rest for 5 minutes after cooking for juiciness. You can use coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
