- 1 pound ground turkey (85% lean)
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- ½ cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Olive oil for greasing the baking sheet
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a non-stick skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, sautéed onion and garlic, dried cranberries, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the beaten egg and melted butter into the mixture, folding gently until incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized rounds and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Notes
These stuffing balls can be made ahead and frozen. Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
